Review of Antique Hostel, Istanbul

Was being sick for the past few days, suffered from headache and gastritis.
PCM, NSAIDs and coffee able to relieve my headache temporarily, but too much of these cause me to have gastric reflux. Ends up, I pampered myself with Chinese massage.
And tadaaa, I am here to upload my blogpost.

I will skipped the hostel reviews for my stays in Fethiye, Pammukale and Goreme and share the hostel review for Antique Hostel, Istanbul.

We stayed in Taksim for one night, and spent our last 4 nights in Turkey at Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. Staying in Sultanahmet means I staying near to my Valentine, Blue Mosque.

There are few types of rooms in Antique Hostel which are the ensuite dorm, dorm with shared bathroom and private room, that meets the need of different travelers. We booked the 4 beds ensuite dorm with sea view at their official website, and the 4 nights stay costs us Euro 228(about RM65 per person per night). The booking is come with breakfast. There is 3 floors in Antique Hostel, and again, escalator is not available.
Personally think that this is a hostel with excellent location(proud of myself). It is just 2 streets away from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, while Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern and Sultanahmet tram station is 5 minutes walk away from hostel. Grand Bazaar is 15 minutes walk away, Yeni Mosque and Spice Bazaar are 20 minutes walk away.

My comments for this hostel:
1) The staffs here weren't friendly like those I meet in other hostels.
2) The dustbin in bathroom wasn't clean on daily basis, but they helped to remove it after I informed the reception.
3) I like their breakfast, it has minor(really minor) changes for their breakfast menu.
4) Airport shuttle bus service(from hostel to airport) is available at 15TL per person.

Antique Hostel, very easy to recognise.

Our room with bunk bed.
Personal locker is not available in the room, but at the corridor outside the room.
Every bed has its own plug and small lamp.
Dry wet separation bathroom
The terrace is located above our room.
You can have the Blue Mosque towers and Marmara sea view here.

Simple breakfast.

If you ask Go!Mitty, I will suggest you to spend one night at Taksim and Sultanahmet each.
Well, lets say you only have 2 days to explore the city, I will suggest you to stay in Taksim area where the transportation system is much more convenient and foods in Taksim are cheaper.
You can take the tram to Sultanahmet area and spend your day time sightseeing there and come back to Taksim at night(Istiklal Avenue is much more happening at night).

PS: All the hotel reviews in my blog are not sponsored, I just write out to share my experience. So, if you appreciate my review/s, please click on the adverts available on the top, so that I can have more income to travel and share all these wonderful experience with you. Tq.
