2014 & 2015

“I hope me and my family members are healthy and do well in their life; continue to travel around (Show off time, next year: HK, Thai and Taiwan); continuous learning in working life; no more disturbances.”

Never take things for granted,死亡不只属于老人。

DIY painting

Krabi Jungle Tour

Arrrgh, I cant blief I used 5 months to complete my Krabi trip posts. So, lag man~ Anyway, better late than never I hope. (Recall, I not even blog completely for my 2012 Korea and HCM trips noh~) *smack forehead*
So, at first we planned to go Island Hopping for 2 consecutive days, but well, I admit I old jor. So, we changed the plan to 1 day island hopping, 1 day jungle tour. We picked the less adventurous kind of Jungle Tour which inclusive of Tiger Temple, Hot Spring, and Emerald pool.

Tiger Temple
There are numerous tiger temples in Thailand, and one of them is in Krabi. No real tiger/s found in this temple, but it is well known for the tiger paw prints in the cave, tall Buddha and GuanYin statues and the strenuous flight of stairs to reach the summit.
We picked Tiger Temple over ATV or elephant ride, because we want to hike to the top of this temple and enjoy the Krabi view at the peak. Ends up, plan failed as we only allowed to spend 45minutes here. Sien.

Message to all the travellers who wish to reach the peak: “Just rent a car and enjoy your hiking without time constraint.”
Entrance to Tiger Temple

1237 steps to the peak begin here
Endless staircases that lead us to the peak
We only manage to reach 491th steps due to time constraint.
We walked down after a small rest.
Steep stairs.

Other pictures taken in the temple:
Temple of Head Master LuongPor Jamnean
 Chanting machine
 Pagoda in built

If you ask: will I revisit this temple? The answer is YES! Because I want to challenge myself by climbing through these 1237 steps to reach the peak and enjoy the magnificent view of Krabi.

Hot Spring
We went to this Hot Spring after visiting Tiger Temple. This is actually a small area of mini waterfall where we can soak ourselves in the mini hot spring pools. I am the only one who pamper my body in this mineral rich pool. We were given 45 minutes to enjoy at here.

Emerald Pool&Blue Pool
We took our lunch outside the restaurant of this wonderful place. Foods provided are simple but nice. 4 of us requested for refill of the dishes. *nom nom nom*

After taken our lunch, we march into Blue Pool and Emerald Pool. You will see the Emerald Pool first, then when you walk further for about 15 minutes along the boardwalk, you will reach the quiet and mysterious Blue Pool. We can swim in the Emerald Pool but not Blue Pool.

Welcome to Emerald Pool

Finally I complete this post. (Hoooray~~!!)
Face a certain of obstacles to complete this blogpost. My editing software(MeiTu XiuXiu) and offline blogging software(Window Live Writer) are corrupted. =.=
Hopefully you enjoy reading this Krabi Jungle Tour post.

Hong Island by Longtail Boat

We visited Krabi during low season aka the rainy season. Feels worry at first when I knew that May is actually the low season, afraid that we unable to go for island hopping. Anyway, we were lucky enough. Rain falls but well, only during the night and at the end of our island hopping trip.

The famous Island Hopping tour packages in Krabi are 4 Islands, Phi Phi and Hong Island. I went to Phi Phi before during my Phuket trip, and the tour package seller claimed that 4 Islands will be crowded. So, we took the Hong Island Package by Long Tail Boat after the “manja-manja” bargain session. She quoted us 800THB/pax, and ends up we paid 550THB/pax. Conclusion, you got the best price during the low season.

The tour guide picked us up at hotel lobby at 830am, then our island hoping journey begins at around 930am.
Those islands cluster makes me feel like I am in Halong Bay.

First station, Daeng Island
Daeng island is a small island in the middle of Andaman Sea. We were given 30minutes to snorkel here. Saw corals, but not nice one. For me, I had no special feeling towards this place.

Second station, Lading Island
Lading Island, which is actually an island where the swallow nests are collected. I like the emerald green sea which match well with the green leaves, limestone, and blue sky, everything is so peaceful here. We took our super simple lunch(rice with broccoli, fried chicken and fruits) and swam a little bit here.

Third station, Hong’s Lagoon
We didn’t stop here. The boat just sail into this small lagoon and tour guide brief us with some information, and we left here after a 5 minutes tour.

Last station, Hong Island Bay
Finally, we reached the last destination of our island hopping tour. What I love about Krabi and Hong Island tour is that everything is so green, emerald green sea, can’t resist the color tone. <3 <3 <3
What makes us upset was that, we were given 2 hours to swim and relax around this beautiful beach, but ends up we spent half an hour hiding under the shelter due to heavy rain.

That’s all for my Hong Island Tour post. I hope this beautiful island will become one of your destinations when you are visiting Krabi.

Next post will be the last blog post for my Krabi trip, the Jungle Day Tour. Anyway, perhaps I will write one for the Krabi Night Market, which I think is worth to introduce. However I will only spend time writing them out after my Khao Yai retreat, and will try to finish those before my Taiwan trip, ok? Deal? Deal!

Best View Hotel SS2, PJ

Hi all. This will be a simple and short hotel review.

Went to KL few months ago, and I booked a No Window Standard Room with complimentary breakfast(RM85.28 inclusive of tax) at this budget hotel in SS2 through Agoda. I would say, the room rate is cheap with the facilities provided.

Lets talk about the location. There is a cafe next to this hotel, and it is at the centre of SS2, so 3 meals wouldn’t be a problem. Fyi, Best View Hotel SS2 is a 4-storey building and there is no lift in the building.

There was cigarette smell in the room during my stay, the bed is comfortable. 2 bottles of mineral water was provided, aircond and wifi signal were strong enough, and water heater functioning well. I will rate it 4/5 for a budget hotel, but due to the cigarette smell I giving it 3/5, I hate cigarettes!
It was my first time sleeping alone outside, kind of adventurous, which I took it as an opportunity to train myself become a solo traveller.

So, now pictures time:20140522_230225_副本20140522_230257_副本A queen size double bed for Go!Mitty.
The towel is beige in color not stained/dirty.20140522_230239_副本Toilet is clean.

As mentioned before, the room rate I paid is inclusive of breakfast. Self service type of simple breakfast(nasi lemak/ fried meehun, bread, eggs, coffee and tea) is provided at 2nd floor.

As conclusion, I no mind to overnight at this hotel again, due to its friendly room rate. I just hoping that I won’t get a room with cigarette smell during my next visit.

PS: All the hotel reviews in my blog are not sponsored, I just write out to share my experience. So, if you appreciate my review/s, please click on the adverts available on the top, so that I can have more income to travel and share all these wonderful experience with you. Tq.

Lae Lay Grill, Krabi

Promised to share about this awesome restaurant that offers stunning sunset view of Krabi, romantic dining environment and thumb licking good foods. So, I remember my promise in the FB page and tadaaa, here it is.2014-05-17-19-21-42_photo_副本

There are 2 hilltop restaurants in Krabi, 1 is Lae Lay Grill and another 1 is Hilltop Restaurant. After looking through the reviews, we decided to go for Lae Lay Grill. My friend booked a table through their official website, and they sent a tuk tuk(free shuttle service) to our hotel at the scheduled time. (Nice service~).

We weren’t lucky, cloud was thick and we couldn’t see the nice sunset.

Four of us ordered 5 dishes, 2 cocktails(which I forgot to note down the names). The price is above average, but is cheap compared to what we have here, because it is Thailand ma, everything also cheaper-kap. We love the foods and hospitality is so good that you can feel it the moment you step into the restaurant. Go!Mitty love the steamed seabass the most, 酸酸甜甜, 好吃!!

We had a great dinner in Lae Lay Grill. The foods satisfied the taste buds, the esophagus, the stomach etc etc, i means our whole digestive system were enjoying them. Muahaha, talking nonsense again. Oh ya, side effect of eating outdoor is that you will attack by mosquito army. But, Lae Lay Grill do prepare mosquito repellent.
I will return to Krabi and Lae Lay Grill is the place I wouldn’t miss. I will pay a visit to Hilltop Restaurant during my next Krabi trip. When is it? Hmmm, perhaps end of this year??
