Baan Khrai Wang

When I was doing homework for my Hua Hin trip, I knew that Hua Hin has many wonderful bakeries selling decent desserts and I marked down and set Baan Khrai Wang as a must go for me.

After the visit, I think I picked the right place to go. Baan Khrai Wang is a famous beach side cafe among the locals. Liked for its cute patio, gorgeous tropical gardens, lots of seating and delicious cakes and pastries. It's located right on the ocean front too, so the views are simply lovely, is just that I no so like the heavy salty beach smell.

P1060909Baan Khrai Wang is located behind resident houses.
So don’t be surprised or wondering are you at the right place.
P1060906Walked past this little door step and you are in Baan Khrai Wang.

Choose to either sit at the indoor area or
just enjoy the breeze wind at the outdoor area.
The menuWe ordered
Lemon Cheese Cake
Brownies and
Mocha Cake

Me and bf shared the lemon cheese cake and the topical fruit juice.
The sweet and sour taste of the cake and juice are refreshing.
Both are perfect for a warm day by the beach.

Venezia, Hua Hin

Venezia, is a new theme-based shopping area in Hua Hin that just officially launched. The inspiration of this destination came from the charming of the world famous river city: Venice.

It opened for public visit since April 2013 (if not mistaken la~), so when I visited on July, the whole area is still new. The buildings are mostly done, well painted and even the water canal is filled with water(wth i m talking bout~?), with gondola floating on it.

No entrance fee is needed when I visited Venezia. Not much crowd around, most of the shop lots are still doing their renovation, no people is taking the gondola ride so I went there and simply snap pictures to show that "Meei Yin was here”. Bf also no mood to take pictures, perhaps we are dehydrated, hungry and tired after whole days of posing in Santorini Park, Swiss Sheep Farm.

So, the outcome of our “Camera Shopping” are these:

I never been to Venice so I don’t know how real the replica is.

Anyway, I get to know that I just visited a small part of Venezia, the whole area is bigger than that.
I will say, once the renovation is complete, Venezia will become one of the must go place in Hua Hin.

Baan Permchan Guest House, Hua Hin

There is a wide range of accomodation to choose from in Hua Hin town, from the budget to the luxury boutique hotels.

I looked through the hotels list in Agoda, and finally placed a booking in Baan Permchan Guest House.

Baan Permchan GH is a family run guesthouse which has a excellent location. It is centrally located on the night market street, Dechanuchit Road.

Chatsila Market, 7-11 store and Chat Chai Day Market are just less than 100 steps from the hotel entrance. Hua Hin Train Station is 5 minutes away and Hua Hin Beach is about 10-15 minutes away from hotel. (All in walking distance) Fyi, breakfast is not included in the price we paid.
Standard Room: RM85 per room per night
Deluxe Room: RM172 per room per night

Excellent location.
Baan Permchan is the white building behind me.

Even though the hotel located at the night market street, but we are not affected by the noises from the street below. Free wifi is available in the hotel, we stayed on the 3rd floor, the signal is only strong at certain location. Thanks God, we stayed at the right room to get access to Wifi all the time.

The lobby
Standard Room for 2 peoples

The room and bathroom size is relatively small. With a small rack to put our bags, and a double bed in the middle. Anyway I am ok with that. Is just that the blanket is just a piece of XXXL size of towel. Cant really keep us warm.
Deluxe Room for 5 peoples.
Superior Room for 4 is available too.

Deluxe Room is quite big, with 1 King Size bed and 1 Queen Size bed. Even the blanket is better than the one in Standard Room.

I like this little space at 3rd floor.
A small living area where we chit chat with a beer in hand.
(Beware of mosquitoes~)

If you are on budget and looking for accomodation that at excellent location,
I think you can take Baan Permchan GH into consideration.

PS: All the hotel reviews in my blog are not sponsored, I just write out to share my experience. So, if you appreciate my review, please click on the adverts available on the top, so that I can have more income to travel and share all these wonderful experience with you. Tq.

Swiss Sheep Farm

Hua Hin and Cha Am is good in developing theme based tourist spots.

Swiss sheep farm which located at the opposite of Santorini Park is a Switzerland-themed-farm. We didn’t stayed long at here, because the heat is not so Swiss. We still in Thailand!! Confused smile

Ok lets have a look at the surrounding.

Santorini Park

I would say, this is the reason why more and more people visiting Hua Hin.

Santorini, a dream honeymoon place for most of the couples after Maldives. (Not for me though~). Air Asia can’t fly us to Santorini in Greece but Air Asia makes me fly to Santorini Park in Hua Hin. Thank you AA!!!

After coming back from the previous Bangkok trip, everyone around me will ask me, where is HuaHin?
How was it?
Then I will answer them, Hua Hin is a beach town and it definitely worth the visit. That’s why I told my bf I wan revisit Hua Hin.

Santorini Park, located at Cha-Am, about 45minutes drive from Hua Hin. Santorini Park is not just a park, instead, it is a place for photosnapping, for shopping and for FUN!!!

See, the entrance looks so Santorini-ish dy, can’t wait to see how it looks inside.

Shops inside Santorini Park selling clothes, foods&beverages, souveniers, and forget liao(Sowie~). I was imagining, la la la, walking in Santorini streets. Just that no angmohs here. Well, anyway, shopping is not the purpose I went there, I want to take PICTURES!!

Cheap and good quality, plus nice packaging

When you come to Santorini Park, please make sure your memory card have enough space to snap pictures. Thai very clever and chio lo, they replicate Santorini out, then can paint some artistic sculptures and murals that use up the memory space even more.  The only sentence I kept on repeating to my bf was, “Eh take one picture of me here leh” “There also want one” “This angle also one” etc. Imagine I am a model. Muahaha.

There are solo pictures of me
We have couple pictures too.

Besides shopping and photo shooting, you can increase your FUN level by taking the rides available in the park area. The ride price is not included in the entrance ticket. You need to buy the ride ticket at the booth before taking the rides. I think the price is reasonable cheap for the extreme one like Giant Swing and Reverse Bungy, with each ride at 480THB. To get the ride in Malaysia, we need to pay at least RM100 for that. Regret why I didn’t take the rides in Santorini Park. We took Tubby Ride and XD Ride. XD ride is not special lah, just that you can hold a gun and shoot at zombies that run towards you (BOO~).
