Best Bangkok House, Bangkok

I found out that I have a weird habit. Whenever I am doing homework for my upcoming trips, I able to have my own fun in searching for hotel to stay. Searching for tourist spots is an easy task for me because everyone that went before definitely will write a good or complete review on that. But, is not easy to look for a hotel which is cheap, comfortable and with good review. Muahaha.

So, when I was looking for hotel to stay during my Bangkok shopping trip, Pratunam is my first choice and I decided to book the Prince House.

However, when I arrived, the hotel staffs claimed that there is no more triple room in the hotel so suggested us to stay in their sister hotel, which is either A2 House or Best Bangkok House.Kinda disappointing when I heard that news, but at the end,we choosed to stay in Best Bangkok House.

I read several reviews at TripAdvisor on Best Bangkok House when I was doing the homework, some said that the hotel is old and not comfortable.Anyway, I personally think that I like the hotel. It looks old from the exterior side of building but the room itself is comfortable and luxury with the price we paid.

Fyi, we stayed at Triple Room at 1500THB/night.

I am not a picky person in staying hotel room as long as it is clean.
So generally I like this hotel.

Gentle reminders
  • The bed mattress might not be comfortable for some people as it is quite soft.
  • When I was in the bathroom, I able to hear the conversation next door.
  • The hotel is just next to the BTS and thee train railway so for sure that you will hear the sound of trains passing by.

Thanks to my mum’s company trip, I had a relaxing 2 days 1 night stay at Lotus Desaru Resort during the Christmas. (What a super out-dated post~, 3 months back de story, wtf) Was so happy to have this short escape from the hassle and hectic life in hospital. Will not blog more on the activities that I did because what I did was only swimming, eating and sleeping. Just want to share with you all about this resort.

The Food
We had the complimentary buffet dinner and buffet breakfast during our stay.
I will say that, the buffet dinner was disappointing. I was so excited when I saw the foods, I am not a picky person in food, but sorry to say that, the taste can’t satisfy our taste bud.
However, their breakfast is fairly good just that the choices of foods wasn’t varies.

For those who wish to have a short escape from the hectic life in big city and to have some quality life with the family, I would say Lotus Desaru Resort is a good choice. With all the facilities and entertainments provided by the hotel, I think everyone will have a happy weekend.

Dalat Railway Station

Da Lat railway station is one of the oldest railway station in Vietnam. It was built in 1932 and put into use in 1936. The railway line was destroyed in the war and abandoned in the late 1960s. 7 kilometers of the track between Da Lat and Trai Mat has been reconstructed and operated for tourism purpose since 1997. I decided to pay a visit to this railway station because travellers can take a steam locomotive ride to visit Linh Phuoc Pagoda at Trai Mat.

Aforementioned, I wished to take the locomotive ride to Trai Mat, but I missed the chance. I was told that the train will only departs when there are at least 15 passengers on ride, and that time we were the only 3 people that wish to have that ride. So, I left the Dalat Railway Station with regret. Crying face There are 5 rides per day and to avoid disappointment, I suggest those that interested to take the ride to reach railway station and catch up the second or third ride. The people in counter told me that normally that 2 rides will be having the enough amount of passengers.

So, plan your time wisely if you

120113

Happy belated new year wish to all of u, my dear friends.
(Such a super late wish from me...)

It's almost 2 weeks we left year 2012 behind, and I just realized that, OMG, I am 25 years old dy!
WTH! So old liao la~~ and what are my new year resolutions?

Seriously I don't know lo. (Such a failure youth~!)
I very simple one, I just hope everyone around me be happy and stay healthy. Then, I have chance to go jalan jalan whenever possible. Itu saja. Some people wish to buy a property, or earn more money. Who doens't wish for that? Just I am not motivated to put that in my wish list. Again, such a failure youth, huh~

I had transferred back to work in my hometown for about 3 months, and frankly speaking, I missed my old days in Penang. Living at hometown, with my family is a good thing. But, the life become mono tone. Boring as most of my friends are not here. I spent most of my time at home, working place and monastry.

Anyway,I am getting use to my current life. Sleep at 10 or 11pm and wake up at 6 or 7am everyday. No more skipping meal. Such a healthy lifestyle. Perhaps, old people lifestyle.

Even though my life sounds so boring to you, but I managed to squeeze my precious saving and time out for me to relax at oversea. Year 2013 will be my Tahun Melawat Thailand (Visit Thailand Year). Sawadeeka~
Will be flying to Bangkok for Buddhist Retreat Activity in 2 weeks time and in March, then again, fly there for sightseeing with my panda in July. Thailand is my second home.

Suppose will have a 2 weeks Buddhist Retreat Trip to India in November one, but due to some unforeseen circumstances and obstacles, the trip was cancelled. SAD! So, I am thinking where should I go during the year end. Any suggestion on  that?

End this post with my picture.
