4D3N Krabi Tour (Itinerary& Expenses)

Hi all. This is a simple post on my Krabi trip, which I will include the itinerary and the rough expenses throughout the trip.

Go!Mitty visited Krabi in May, and I would say, I love Krabi more than Phuket and Pattaya because the latters are too commercialised. I went to Krabi during the low season aka raining season, but we are lucky that the weather is perfect throughout the journey. I stayed at Ao Nang area which is the most happening place in Krabi, but I still can feel the peace here(maybe is due to low season). One of the best things of visiting Krabi during low season is that everything is cheaper.

EXPENSES
Air ticket+Ananta Burin Resort (Superior Room with Breakfast)=RM534/person
Hong Island Tour Package(with Long Tail Boat) +Jungle Tour=THB1250 /person
1hour Foot massage=THB200
1hour Coconut Oil Massage=THB500
Shuttle bus from Airport to hotel=THB150
Airport Transfer from Hotel to Airport=THB150
Tuk tuk from AoNang to Krabi=THB60/person

Dining, shopping is subjected to individual. Go!Mitty spent a total of about RM1000 for this trip, which I think reasonable. Go!Mitty will definitely revisit Krabi, that time I am going to stay at the boutique hotel and have a 贵妇 trip.
ITINERARY
Day 1Touched down Krabi Airport at 2pm. Took the shuttle bus to hotel. Went to AoNang Walking Street to survey tour package, dinner at Wang Sai Seafood and have a brief walk at Krabi Town Night Market
* Many travellers in Cari Forum claimed that foods in Wang Sai Seafood is cheap and nice to eat, but for me, I don’t think it is cheap because the foods are below my expectation. So I not going to do review on this restaurant.

Day 2Island hopping (Hong Island Tour Package), Dinner at Lae Lay Grill and ends our day with foot Massage.

Day 3Jungle Tour (Visit Tiger Cave Temple, Hotspring, Emerald Pool, Blue Pool), Shopping at Tesco, Dinner at Krabi Town Night Market. Last but not least, massage time!!

Day 4To airport(book airport transfer from hotel)

Will blog more on Ananta Burin resort, Hong Island island hopping package, Lae Lay Grill and Jungle Tour in my upcoming posts, so please stay tuned.

Transportation to and from KLIA2

KLIA2 officially become the new hub for the low cost airlines(AirAsia, Malindo Air, Cebu Air and Tigerair) on 9th May, which means fly off and landing at LCCT had become a history.
As promised I will blog something about KLIA2. Many bloggers share information and pictures on the layout, shopping outlets available in the airport etc. But for me, I will blog on how to go KLIA2 from KL central and Terminal Bas Bersepadu(TBS) Bandar Tasik Selatan.

I hope this will be an useful guide for those who still unclear with the transportations available to KLIA2.
Go!Mitty took 2 different routes, I went to KLIA2 from KL Central by KLIA Express and took bus from KLIA2 to TBS.

Now let me brief you guys on the KLIA Express and KLIA Transit service available.

KLIA Express is a non-stop airport transfer takes you from KLIA & KLIA2 to the city (KL Sentral). Remember, KLIA 2 is the last station so do not drop off at KLIA station. It departs every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 20 minutes during off peak hours. The fare is RM35/way.

KLIA Transit is a fast train service between airports(KLIA & KLIA 2) and all transit stations (KL Central, Bandar Tasik Selatan, Putrajaya&Cyberjaya, and Salak Tinggi stations)

You can check out more of the airport transfer service& schedule at HERE.
For the transfer service fares, check it out at this LINK.

So Mitty will show you the location of the transfer service at KL Central.
20140516_091437_1KLIA Express arrival hall which is just next to the Maxis Centre.

Head towards Nu Sentral(shopping mall in KL Central) and you will see KLIA Transit entrance and ticket booth is on your left.

Turn right if you want to take KLIA Express and
you will see the ticket booth at the end of walkway.20140516_091624_120140516_091725_1
After a 33 minutes ride(KLIA Express), you will walk into an airport which makes you feels like a shopping mall.

Clear with my explanation? Now we shall proceed to the bus service available from KLIA2.

To take the available public transports(except KLIA airport transfer service) from KLIA2, walk to the Gateway area, Level 1.
Besides taxi service, there are several bus services also available here. These are some of them:

2 days 1 night Mai Chau trip(Day 2)

We slept early after watching the traditional dance at Mai Chau Nature Place (check out my Day 1 post, HERE).
So our Day 2 activity is very simple which is hiking at 1000steps cave(OMG!!! 1000 steps, the 272 steps at Batu Caves almost took my life away~). So, our tour guide, Hung leaded us to the cave and we reached there after a 20minutes walk.

Let’s start hiking.dscf0571_副本Sit down and relax after few hundreds steps.

Finally a cave welcome us at the end of the hiking.
Name of the cave: Afternoon Cave.
Hung told us that it was named so because they found it in the afternoon. A small cave but very chilling inside.

We went to the local market after the hiking.

dscf0595_副本dscf0606_副本Saw this pretty girl in the market.
I would say, Vietnamese are pretty ladies and handsome gentlemen.

Then, we went back to our tilt house and packed our things up.
It’s time for us to leave this serene village and back to Hanoi city.
dscf0622_副本Fried grasshoppers!!!!
Owner of the tilt house fried this and we tasted it.
Yummy yummy. It is crunchy and had nice cheesy taste.

We stopped by at this small local market when we were on the way back to Hanoi city. We had group pictures with Hung and the driver. Hung is the one of the best tour guide I ever met, he is cheerful and always energetic enough to introduce his beautiful country to us.

Apple Pie@Zest Restaurant, Ramada Plaza Melaka

Hello avbuddy...how are you?
Do allow me to type this super simple+short post in Chinese, because I can describe the food in better&proper terms in Chinese.

*Generally, for those who love Apple Pie(Mitty love it~), Mitty highly recommend you to try the one at Zest Restaurant, Ramada Plaza Melaka.

2 days 1 night Mai Chau trip(Day 1)

First of all, I drag my blog post update again.
I had my 2D1N Mai Chau trip in November, and I only have time and energy and mood to update this in May(when I already ends my HK, Khaoyai and Krabi tour).

Anyway, I hope this is another useful post from me.

So, most of the travellers will go to Sapa, but Go!Mitty really have no enough time to explore Sapa. Therefore I picked Mai Chau as our second(and last) pit stop in Hanoi after reading some reviews in Cari forum. Plus, the kids in my group love cycling, and they didn’t have chance to experience village life in Malaysia, so why not to take this opportunity to let the young one explore the village life and let the elderly “cycling down the memory lane”.

Mai Chau is actually a valley in Hoa Binh province. Compared to Sapa which offers the best mountainous view in Vietnam, Mai Chau is actually a simple village. But, we had a great time here.
Fyi, 11 of us stayed in the tilt house at Mai Chau Nature Place at USD60/person. So without further delay, lets explore this valley with Go!Mitty.

Day 1 itinerary
Pickup at hotel in the Old Quarter. Had traditional lunch in local village(vegetarian available). Then, bicycle ride with tour guide, see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves and visit surrounding peaceful villages.
At night, we watched Thai traditional dance in the stilt house and enjoy traditional alcohol (ruou can).

We didn’t stay in Riverside Bungalow.dscf0394_副本The tilt house
Just like the Rumah Melayu but it is taller.dscf0396_副本Our room.
We didn’t have bed, only a thin mattress, blanket and pillow.
We didn’t have a nice sleep though,
because the roosters wake us up at 3am~
So call village sound.

Our lunch upon arrival.
Very nice foods, and we settled them in lightning speed.dscf0405_副本Kids in Malaysia playing with ipad,
but in Mai Chau, they are playing with simple toys and the natural.

We then started our cycling tour around Mai Chau after the lunch.dscf0407_副本
We first dropped by to see and experience how the locals weave.dscf0414_副本Go!Mitty go weave.

Actually there is nothing much to see here in Mai Chau, is just a place to relax and experience the village life. I think that’s why I only saw Vietnamese and Western travellers here. Malaysians has kampung too~haha. Anyway, I still not regret for choosing Mai Chau.

Then we end our cycling tour at the local market.
dscf0464_副本Cocoons!!!dscf0466_副本Ladies in the local traditional costume.DSCF0473_副本Local art products.
Their scarfs are in good quality.

After that, we had our bath and took a short break before the dinner time. We are again being served with yummy local foods. Then we were entertained with the traditional dance performance. Last but not least, RUOU CAN time!!!!
dscf0487_副本DSCF0489_副本dscf0533_副本Everyone was so excited when the ruou can being placed at the centre.
We drink it from the bamboo straws.
Seriously nice to drink…. <3dscf0537_副本_副本Me, ruou can and our tour guide, Hung.

Ok, so this is my only post in May, some more updated at the end of May.
*Smack my forehead*
I should be more productive.

Must wait for my Day 2 post k?
Don’t abandon me!
