The famous Island Hopping tour packages in Krabi are 4 Islands, Phi Phi and Hong Island. I went to Phi Phi before during my Phuket trip, and the tour package seller claimed that 4 Islands will be crowded. So, we took the Hong Island Package by Long Tail Boat after the “manja-manja” bargain session. She quoted us 800THB/pax, and ends up we paid 550THB/pax. Conclusion, you got the best price during the low season.
The tour guide picked us up at hotel lobby at 830am, then our island hoping journey begins at around 930am.
First station, Daeng Island
Daeng island is a small island in the middle of Andaman Sea. We were given 30minutes to snorkel here. Saw corals, but not nice one. For me, I had no special feeling towards this place.
Second station, Lading Island
Lading Island, which is actually an island where the swallow nests are collected. I like the emerald green sea which match well with the green leaves, limestone, and blue sky, everything is so peaceful here. We took our super simple lunch(rice with broccoli, fried chicken and fruits) and swam a little bit here.
Third station, Hong’s Lagoon
We didn’t stop here. The boat just sail into this small lagoon and tour guide brief us with some information, and we left here after a 5 minutes tour.
Last station, Hong Island Bay
Finally, we reached the last destination of our island hopping tour. What I love about Krabi and Hong Island tour is that everything is so green, emerald green sea, can’t resist the color tone. <3 <3 <3
What makes us upset was that, we were given 2 hours to swim and relax around this beautiful beach, but ends up we spent half an hour hiding under the shelter due to heavy rain.
That’s all for my Hong Island Tour post. I hope this beautiful island will become one of your destinations when you are visiting Krabi.
Next post will be the last blog post for my Krabi trip, the Jungle Day Tour. Anyway, perhaps I will write one for the Krabi Night Market, which I think is worth to introduce. However I will only spend time writing them out after my Khao Yai retreat, and will try to finish those before my Taiwan trip, ok? Deal? Deal!
